Editing Photos

Using craquelure tool
Before editing
This is after I applied the craquelure filter effect. I think this makes the photo look better because it adds an old effect to the photo and makes the photo look older.

Photos taken in school

Close-up shots
This is a photo of a collection of twigs. In the photo you can see different textures where some of the twigs are smooth and some of the twigs are rough. There is not a great range of colours within the photo and the photo also shows no patterns.
This is a close up shot of a plant inside the corridor in school. This photo focuses on the top of the trunk of the tree where the plant splits of into the different branches. This photo shows different textures on the trunk of the tree and the leaves.

Wide shots
This is a wide shot of the sky.  In the photo you can see the blue sky, clouds 2 birds and also ice crystals left behind from planes. There are 2 main colors in the photo. The blue of the sky and also the white clouds. The color of the birds is hard to  make out in the photo.
This is a photo of a tree in the school. In the background is one of the car parks in the school. The picture follows the rule of thirds as the tree is not in the center, it is to the right side.

Black and white editing

Editing

Above are two images of a flower. The first photo is the original and is unedited. the second photo however is edited. I have take most of the color from the photo and made it black and white. The only color I have left on it the petals of the flower.

Sorting Photos

Sorting photos
This is a print screen of all the photos I have taken and have put on the macs. I have sorted all the photos into folders. The first two folders sort the images between indoor and outdoor photos. The second set of folders then sort the folders between photos of people and photos of scenery. This helps me to keep track of all the photos I have taken so I don't lose them.

photo Transfer

Photo Transfer

This shows how you transfer a photo from a camera to the computer and onto a blog.

1.First you need to take your photos on the camera but make sure you have a sd card inside the camera.

2.You then connect your camera to the mac using the usb lead. The lead connects to the mac from camera at the back of the mac.

3.A file will then come up.

4.You click on it and your photos will be in there

5.you then drag then to the desktop.

6.You then make a new file and save all photos in the file with names that you will easily identify the photos with.

Rule of thirds

Rule of thirds

This is a picture I have taken of the leaning tower of Grayhill. I took this picture during a dark afternoon in winter during period 4. The main image in this picture is the tower, the image is right in the centre of the picture.  This is the picture before I applied the rule of thirds to it.

This is the edited image with the rule of thirds applied. I have cropped the image to move the main part of the image to the right hand side. I then added 4 lines to make a 3x3 grid on the picture to show the image is no longer in the centre.
